Scanner Operator Bonus Update

January 2012 will be a milestone for the Scanner business as the following program enhancements will take place from January, 2012:

 

Associated ADR* for Free Lease Incentive and Scanner Operator Bonuses


1. Scan Bonuses are counted upon ADR ordered, paid, and shipped
In November you were sent a communication highlighting that in order to receive your Scanner Operator Bonuses, the ADRs linked to scan cards must include orders paid for in full by your customers.  As of January, 2012, this ADR payment and shipment condition will become fully effective in programming and will also apply to the Free Lease Incentive.  Click here for more details.

 
From January 2012, an ADR will count toward your monthly Free Lease Incentive and Scan Operator Bonuses (including subsequent scan bonuses) as long as the following requirements are met

 

1. You scan a customer using a new scan card.

2. You upload the scan card to the NSE database from your scanner laptop.

3. You enroll customers on new North America ADRs and link the scan card to the ADR.

4. These ADRs contain either** LifePak®, Lifepak nano, LifePak® Women, or Prime, or g3 bottles 2pk and are linked to uploaded scan cards within the 15/90 days rule requirement below*, and

5. The ADR is ordered, paid, and shipped to your customer

1. New programming will now pay your Scan Operator Bonus once the customer order has been processed, and this will be viewable in your online scan operator reports

2. Subsequent monthly ADR order shipments must also be processed in order for subsequent re-scan bonus payments to be paid upon customer re-scan.

If any of the conditions above are not met, the ADR will not count toward your monthly Free Lease Incentive and Scan Operator Bonuses. Please find below an example of the requirements:

 



 

The ADR will count towards your Scanner monthly Free Lease Incentive Program (minimum 5 new ADRs/month) for the month in which it is linked, ordered, paid and shipped.

Example:

 

  • If the new ADR is scanned, uploaded, linked, ordered, paid and shipped in January, it will count towards your January performance waiver and your actual scan bonus will be paid out to you in your February commission check.
  • If the new ADR is scanned, uploaded, linked  in January but the first order is not paid and shipped until February, it will count towards your February Free Lease Incentive and your actual initial Scan Operator Bonus will be paid out in your March commission check.
  • Bonuses will still be paid out the 20th of the month following the actual month when the ADR is ordered, paid and shipped as with standard compensation plan and commission check dates.
  • Your online Scanner Operator upload and bonus reports will still be your resource to check the status of your scans and ADRs.
 
2. ADR Scan Bonus eligibility expires after maximum 3 months
Newly qualified ADRs of your customers to be eligible for your monthly Free Lease Incentive Promotion and initial Scan Operator Bonuses within 3 months from the ADR creation date. If the ADR does not order a paid and shipped eligible product within  3 months from ADR enrolment, the ADR eligibility  for initial Scan Bonuses will expire and  will not count towards your monthly waiver incentive and bonuses for the initial bonus payment.  If an order is successfully made after 3 months, and the customer is subsequently re-scanned, the $5 (USD equivalent) subsequent Scan Operator Bonus will pay.

 

3. Simplified clawback/reversal rule
Through 31 December, 2011, your scan bonus was a clawback/reversal if the ADR of your customer had been cancelled or if the Scanner qualified product had been removed from the ADR within a period of 60 days starting from the day of the ADR registration, even if the customer had kept the product shipments.

 

As of January 2012, clawbacks/reversals are simplified and will apply only if the order with qualified product that caused the scan bonus or subsequent re-scan bonus payment to be paid is actually returned and refunded to the customer.  This change aligns with standard product returns and refunds.  Just as the PV or your commission is reversed upon customer returns, the same will apply to any paid scanner bonuses.

 

4. ADR's must be created within 90 days from actual customer scan date:
The timelines below are important for eligibility of Free Lease Incentive Program and Scanner Operator Bonus until 31 December, 2011 for scans and ADR's created prior to January.

 

Examples:

 

Previous Requirement – Allowed up to 365 days after performing the scan

 




The following timeline will apply for the eligibility of ADRs for Free Lease Incentive Program and Initial Scanner Operator Bonus:

New Requirement – Allows 90 days after performing a scan to create new ADR:

 

 

This timeline is applicable only as reference to when a Scan Operator Bonus may be obtained from date of scan.

 

All other terms and conditions of the Scanner Program not affected by this amendment shall remain in full force with unchanged content.
